Purpose
Gidgee Healing is seeking a highly organised Patient Concierge to support a busy Primary Health Care patient waiting area.
Using your excellent customer service and relationship-building skills, you will assist and support our health professionals by providing a service at the main entrance to the facility. The role will include:
- Promotion of mask-wearing as a requirement for entering the facility
- Promote and ensure hand hygiene and other Infection prevention and control procedures are upheld
- Ask patients/ visitors if they have an appointment (response as guided by the service)
- Ask patients if they have any Covid-19 like symptoms before they enter (response as guided by the service)
- Support patients to access refreshments while waiting
- Support patient’s queries relating to waiting times for appointments
- Work independently day-to-day as well as part of a team
Selection Criteria
- Experience in Reception duties
- Friendly and professional manner
- Well presented
- A strong work ethic based on excellence, commitment, and responsibility
- Commitment to patient care
- Excellent communication skills. And the ability to communicate respectfully to all demographics.
- Qualities: caring, common sense, assertive, organised, has a solutions-focused approach, and the ability to take initiative.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience with levels of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment.
- A background in healthcare settings would be highly regarded but not essential

Other Requirements
- It is a requirement of this role to wear a face mask when on duty at the clinic.
- Current Criminal History check or ability to obtain one.
- Current Blue Card (working with children and young people) or willingness to apply for a Blue Card.
- Current COVID-19 vaccination status
